This workshop’s focus is to bring awareness to and enliven the core strength.  Using the breath, incorporating Vinyasa flows and working with individual asana we’ll develop the understanding of what makes up our core and its importance as part of an integrated strength throughout the body.

As we deepen our asana through the workshop we’ll build our practice towards some strong asana and inversions, finishing with a pranayama practice and a moment of meditation.

Davina's teaching has developed over ten years of teaching, she has more than 800 hours of teacher training qualifications behind her from a broad spectrum of styles which is reflected in her classes.

During this workshop we will work with:

  • supine asana, focusing on abdominal strength;
  • lateral core, the strength in the side bodies;
  • posterior core, our back body strength;
  • how the core supports the spine in sitting;
  • how the core supports the body weight in arm balances.

    Her classes encourage you to come home into your body. Sampling the beauty of fluidity and strength with the breath in sequencing and deep release work through mindfulness and stillness.
