As the holiday season and winter approach, life can get busier and more frantic, often leaving us feeling depleted, more susceptible to colds and flu viruses.

This workshop will aim to stimulate the Kidneys Chi (vital force) to replenish your energy and boost your immune system. Long held supported postures, combined with breath awareness, activate the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for the health and balance of our body and mind, relieve symptoms of stress and chronic fatigue. By centering body and breath, aligning the physical and mental, this restorative sequence will create the optimum conditions for  the natural healing  process to occur, in harmony with nature, and more ready to embrace the change of season.

This workshop will provide a deeply soothing practice, in a nurturing atmosphere with candles and essential oils.  It will include long held supported postures, combined with breath awareness, to release tension in the deeper layers of the body, soothe the nervous system and boost the immunity. We will use blocks, blankets, bolsters and other props to allow the body to open safely. The workshop will end with a Yoga Nidra (guided deep relaxation) and you will be given practical tips to boost your immune system before the holiday season.

This workshop is open to all levels, including beginners.
