A beginner to intermediate level class emphasising the development of strength, mobility, concentration and awareness through asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing practices). Asana will be taught in energetic sequences and longer-held postures. Pranayama will be the starting point of the class and integrated throughout. Modifications for each level will be offered, encouraging students to practice according to their level.
The teacher will design for you a practice that builds on a different theme each week providing different variations and nuances of familiar and perhaps less familiar poses. Layering and repetition will help us to understand better the actions and intentions of the poses. This will be a fun, exploratory practice.
This class is not suitable for absolute beginners - at least few months yoga practice is necessary.
