Drawn by the discipline and the resilience of mind that it engenders, Sev began practicing Ashtanga in Paris in early 2000s, with Kim Roberts. At first self-taught and aspiring, she later took an Intensive with Sri K.Pattabhi Jois in London in 2003. As of 2007, Sev embarked on an evolutionary quest with her root teacher Shiva Rea at Samudra Global School, on retreats and immersions worldwide, which led her to certifying as 200HR Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher. Most recently, Sev has completed 200HR Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Intensive with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor in Boulder. Sev is also certified with Teen Yoga and Special Yoga Foundations to teach mindfulness and yoga to teenagers and children. After working for about 15 years in finance, Sev devotes today her energy and passion to teaching asana, pranayama, meditation and yogic values to fellow students on the path.
Sev offers grounding and nurturing Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow practices to revive the physical body, calm the mind and invite contemplation. As a lifetime student of yoga, she shares this wisdom as movement meditation, as deep surrender to the breath and the subtle body. Sev leads the asana sequences with enthusiasm and lightness, guiding the practice with emphasis on consistency and contentment. Sev continues to study asana and philosophy daily.
