Mary Elizabeth Attwood is an art historian, writer, meditation and art appreciation teacher and businesswoman. Loyal to both the academic and alternative her work and research spans art history, Eastern and Western philosophies and practices on consciousness. She holds a BA honours degree in the History of Art, University of London where her studies focused on Italian late Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture and she is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred researching the meaning and power of images from ancient Greek philosophy, the Renaissance and Jungian psychology.

Mary has studied art history in London with frequent visits to Florence and Siena and studied meditation in the USA, the UK and India. She is a Yoga Alliance UK teacher and a qualified Meditation teacher. She combines her multi disciplinary background to provide fully integrative classes and talks which appreciate the importance of meditation, imaginative engagement and conscious awareness. She holds salon style talks and runs courses on art and consciousness and regular visits to galleries for charities including Age UK. She is passionate about discovering and sharing knowledge about art and images from a broad inclusive perspective.
