If you have been wanting to make meditation a part of your life but haven’t been able to commit to a weekly course or program, this is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of the practice in an all-inclusive one-day workshop. Meditation is a very simple and straight forward technique which can be taught within a few minutes. Thereafter, what solidifies the practice is regularity and commitment. In this 2.5 hour workshop, we will demystify what you know about meditation and equip you with the necessary tools to establish your own home-based practice without the need of phone apps, YouTube videos or other subscriptions. 

This is a no-fuzz and straight forward route to making meditation a part of your daily routine now and forever. It is an excellent opportunity if you are already acquainted with meditation but have lost your way or if you are simply in need of a refresher.

In this workshop we will cover:

What is meditation?
What is the difference between meditation and mindfulness?
What is difference between all the various meditation disciplines and philosophies? How do I know which one is right for me?
Which is the best method for me to meditate with?

Some more practical aspects:

How to sit for meditation?
What time should I meditate at and how long for?
How should I breathe when I meditate?
How can I set up a regular daily practice?
What do I do if I miss a day of practice? Or if I stop completely?

We will also cover some very helpful preparatory exercises and discuss key points to rooting meditation into your daily life. You will also have Komal’s ongoing support through Instagram & Facebook for any challenges you may face in your home-practice.

This workshop goes very well with the “Pranayama & Yoga Nidra” workshop and the “Yoga Sutras of Patanjali” course which are being held at Evolve Wellness Centre this November.
