As we move into the New Year, this is a good time to slow down, align the heart and mind to awaken inspiration and transformation. This slow pace workshop will include some gentle movements, long held restorative postures leading to Yoga Nidra to create a momentum and plant a sankalpa (intention) for the rest of the year.
Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep with a slight trace of awareness) is an ancient and life-changing approach to complete relaxation. It has been studied in clinical settings and has been found to treat various afflictions ranging from sleeping disorders to chronic pain, anxiety, and even low self-esteem. Neuro scientists say that Yoga Nidra helps access the brain rhythm that signals the deepest rest. By cultivating stillness and effortlessness, a more subtle awareness unfold and the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, soothing the mind and body down to the cellular level.
In this nourishing and rejuvenating workshop, we will use props to support the body and experience calm and peace at the essence of our being. You will be given practical tips to create your own restorative ‘’snacks’’ in your daily life.
This workshop is open to all levels, including complete beginners.
